missing port option in MFC-settings
« on: April 30, 2005, 07:37:21 AM »
I was looking at Mute MFC's setting menu and noticed that it was not possible to choose what port I want to use. I known I choose what port to use when I run mute mfc the first time, but it would be nice to be able to choose in the settings menu. (I known I can also change the port in port.ini fil)

Best regards

This is where I would like some other people to join in with the development...

adding the Port setting to the settings dialog would be a very easy thing to do and very good for someone who is trying to learn...

all that is necessary is:

1. edit the dialog box to have the port field
2. add code to grab the data from the port field box on the GUI and put it into a variable in the code
3. store the new port in the Port.ini file

probably, we'd have to kludge the server code to switch to the new port so we wouldn't have to reboot the software to make setting go into effect..
-peace out...

keep it real,
