;;

stop) echo "Stopping Ocat daemon..."
killall -9 ocat
;;

ip) echo "Ocat ip..."
echo "Your ipv4 address is: $(ifconfig $USEDTUN |grep 'addr:' |awk {'print $2'} |cut -d: -f2)"
echo "Your ipv6 address is: $(ifconfig $USEDTUN |grep inet6 |awk {'print $3'} |cut -d\/ -f1)"
;;

status) echo "Ocat status..."
ifconfig $USEDTUN

Code: [Select]
ping6 fd87:d87e:eb43:f947:ad24:ec81:8abe:753e(exit with CTRL+c)

6) Install Bittornado
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get install bittornado-gui bittornado
should enable IPv6 support !!
like: http://img244.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=94323_tornado-2_122_130lo.jpg

Restart bittornado to enable changes

7) get (legal) torrent file: http://[fd87:d87e:eb43:f20d:6d4f:239:ab70:1793]/forbidden.wmv.torrent

OK, your ready to download over anonymous IPv6 tunnel ;)

note: browsing tracker is not fast, Downloading torrent is fast than I2P.

please join... the network need tester.

Thanks

LOL! Bittorrent over VPN over TOR....  :o! I assume using Tor for such applications is evil because it uses much ressources on the Tor servers...?  ::)

IMO Tor is well for anonymous Webbrowsing. But IMO it doesn't scale well when used for filesharing: The Tor servers are bottlenecks and it's number doesn't increase when many filesharers join the network. I think the Tor server owners don't have much pleasure in supporting this network usage because Tor stands for anonymous websurfing.
In I2P every user of I2P-applications (I2P-Torrents, imule, i2phex, ...) runs an own I2P router und increases the total amount of bandwidth and available routers. IMO I2P is a better suited network for massive data transfers.

Just my two cents.

And by the way: I like the idea of a VPN over Tor/I2P (it's a nice darknet for filesharing with ordinary filesharing tools). I just look into the future when the number of anonymous filesharers increases...  ;D

Nemo.

More on this topic in the press article "Performance Improvements on Tor - Why Tor is slow and what we’re going to do about it":

Quote
We’ve identified six main reasons why the Tor network is slow.

Problem #1 is that Tor’s congestion control does not work well. We need to come up with ways to let “quiet” streams like web browsing co-exist better with “loud” streams like bulk transfer.
Problem #2 is that some Tor users simply put too much traffic onto the network relative to the amount they contribute, so we need to work on ways to limit the effects of those users and/or provide priority to the other users.
Problem #3 is that the Tor network simply doesn’t have enough capacity to handle all the users that want privacy on the Internet. We need to develop strategies for increasing the overall community of relays, and consider introducing incentives to make the network more self-sustaining.
Problem #4 is that Tor’s current path selection algorithms don’t actually distribute load correctly over the network, meaning some relays are overloaded and some are underloaded. We need to develop ways to more accurately estimate the properties of each relay, and also ways for clients to select paths more fairly.

Perhaps in-Tor-traffic which stays inside of Tor and never goes via ExitNode to the Internet (HiddenServices) don't harm as much as doing Internet-filesharing over Tor? I don't know.

Greetings,
Nemo.
