Error installing Freenet
« on: December 11, 2006, 06:01:31 PM »
Hello all, I have a rather bizarre error I'm getting when attempting to install Freenet 0.7
When I click on it, I get to pick the language I have to use, then it flashes an error that reads:

The jar-file 'install.jar' could not be exectued

I'm running Win ME.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

John

Hello John,

Hello all, I have a rather bizarre error I'm getting when attempting to install Freenet 0.7

The installer for Freenet 0.7 tries to download further installation packages directly over the internet. Sometimes it happens that a downloaded archived gets corrupted during download.

I suggest to delete your Freenet directory so you can try it again.

Cheers,
Markus

John,

I donīt know exactly if Win ME is fully supported. Did you check already the Java or the Freenet web site for further hints regarding this issue?

Cheers,
Markus
