GNUnet Live-System
« on: June 05, 2006, 10:07:19 AM »

the new GNUnet Virtual Appliance is available.

Virtual Appliances are complete PCs (including an operating system, also known as "Virtual Machine") running inside a window on your actual PC: Screenshot.

The Live-System is targeted towards new users who want to try GNUnet without installing it. Also, this system provides maximum security (applications cannot escape the VM, data on the actual PC cannot be access from within the VM) and resource control.

Configuration is easy and the integrated Online Update function helps users to stay up-to-date.

Please do not forget to vote for the best anonymous P2P appliance (VMware page, "Community feedback") after the testdrive. :)

To launch the appliance, you need the VMware Player (gratis) or QEMU (free software).
