WASTE over TOR

what will be need:

1.WASTE     http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/waste/waste-setup-1.5-beta-3-full-eng.exe?download

2.TOR      http://tor.eff.org/download.html
3.Freecap      http://www.freecap.ru/files/freecap_setup_eng.exe

When will use waste with TOR then must running tor at the same time.

Set  freecap:

1.Set waste path in freecap

2.Under Settings>proxy settings:Default proxy Server: localhost  Port: 9050

3.take Socks4 or Socks5 .

4.you must go in freecap und start the waste client run or make a double click.

5. Connect with aTor hidden service to anothter WASTE-TOR user.(only possilbe with WASTE-TOR kombination)

who have maked a HiddenService in Torrc file then can use it for waste
example in a torrc file :
HiddenServiceDir E:\Programme\Tor\btdata
HiddenServicePort 6969 127.0.0.1:6969

we go now where is the folder btdata and open the file hostname there stands hostname 49k4ys7yzc3d5422.onion

we know the hostname is 49k4ys7yzc3d5422.onion and port is 6969

another WASTE-TOR  user can connect to us with 49k4ys7yzc3d5422.onion:6969 .

what we need from another  Waste-Tor user is a .onion link with Port that is sntading in his torrc file.

Donst forget in Waste must take the same port was in  Torrc file is like example. 6969

6.Or you can use Waste with TorTunnel over Tor without freecap

TorTunnel:
http://duck.i2p/tortunnel/tortunnel-0.2.zip

setting tortunnel.ini :
like example:
LocalPort=21337
ProxyHost=localhost
RemotePort=6969
RemoteHost=49k4ys7yzc3d5422.onion
ProxyPort=9050[/b]

at last TorTunnel.ini save and close.

you start  tortunnel.jar .
After start you can see that:

Now we can conenct to a Waste-Tor user only with 127.0.0.1:21337
Tortunnel connect via socks4a over TOR to the 49k4ys7yzc3d5422.onion:6969 address.

For surfing and downloading from websites in Tor you have to configure your browser. For your security you should use the proxy "Privoxy", as described in defnax's HOWTO and the documentation on the Tor website.

Markus recommend using K-Meleon in a german message thread. Now he uses this small browser for Tor and i2p (with profiles) and doesn't need to change the browsers settings for surfing on Tor/i2p or the web, because he uses now two browsers.

Greetings,
Nemo.

Is anyone even running waste over tor? Granted it is a interesting idea, would it be worth doing over i2p?

over tor works great!

but with i2p have problems!
waste uses only TCP!

must need a ported waste only for I2P!

Where's the problem exactly?

Shure, WASTE uses TCP connections between it's peers. And with I2PTunnels you can create TCP tunnels over I2P. So where's the Problem?
I showed how to use WASTE over I2P some time ago...

Nemo.

The I2P developers will use UDP as transport protocol between I2P nodes. Then I2P nodes will "talk" with UDP over the Internet.

I2P provides anonymous network routing between it's nodes (like anonymous IP). I'm shure the features on the "anonymous application layer" (eepsites, ...) and the "anonymous transport layer" (building TCP tunnels) won't change.

The change of the underlaying transport protocol shouldn't affect the anonymous network layers above. Perhaps everything stays the same for the users, then they will not see any difference, I'm not shure...
(perhaps I2P gets a major redesign, which affects all I2P-related things? I don't know the roadmap for this project)

Greetings,
Nemo.
