Hi larytet!

On some files I get the msg "Failed to publish" on large files (KNOPPIX ISO - 717 MByte) or on deep file-paths (up to 8 subdirectorys). Is there any restriction on deep sub-dirs?

most likely that file was published and porblem is related to the responsiveness of the engine. Rodi threads run in low priority. the good outcome is that you can browse netwrok or edit Word document while Rodi calculates hash for 9GB file. The bad news are that sometimes operation can fail when you execute it from GUI. this is a bug and  i will correct it.

meanwhile, try command
share list
to dislplay all files you published
command
publish list
is another alias of the same command and will do the same
you can also publish file using CLI

share file ?
you can also try to open file publish.script (look in the Rodi folder) using any text editor and make sure that the file is there. RodiCore runs this script autmatically after restart. you can make changes in the script and run it manually without restarting of the core

workaround:
copy file runRodiWin32.bat and use the copy.

i need time to think what i can do in the SetupWizard and start procedure

consider creating of RodiHash file. see button Save on Panel Publish and command
publish savehash ?

if you are going to participate in the Linux  distribution consider also to publish your public key
you can find your public key on the Panel Hosts - click Trustees at the top of the panel, select first line and click Ctrl-C
anoteh way to copy you public key is file peers.trustees.script
public key is long hexadecimal string

No limitations for the depth of the tree i am aware of. If does not work this is a bug and i will fix it.
Remark. Think about Rodi as Bittorrent and not eMule. share small number of large files (1 or 2) or large number of small files (text, PDF, tec.)
Rodi does not have any waiting queues. it will not help to anybody that search result returns file X, but there is no way to download this file, because seed (publisher) is uploading CD ISO over 10Kbyte/s link
