- detects external ip, no need to manually set it (detection works only if not behind a router, but ants works without exact ip)
- connects faster to peers
- fast down-/upspeeds
- min. of connected peers set to 10
- ...

New version

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/antsp2p/ANtsP2P_Setup_beta1.4.9_p0.8.6.exe?download

Question: Do these net version numbers in fact mean that only those with same version can connect to each other?
This would in fact mean that there will be almost no files on the actual net everytime net number changes, and in fact it`s really bad if that happens any 2 weeks ;-(

Yes, this can happen.

Well, this is imho the greatest problem ANts suffers from. Instead of using separate testing and stable networks all ANts releases connect to the same network, and in the worst case this can lead to problems like the one you mentioned above. Roll Eyes

I really wonder if Gwren is going to chance this behaviour some day.

all ANts releases connect to the same network

thats wrong..!!! every new protocol number means a new net.

0.8.5 is not the same as 0.8.6. this are all different nets.

this does not work. there is no stable network.  Wink

but it starts to become stable!!!

Download the one you want from
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=106782&package_id=136701&release_id=403151
Bookmark this page and you always are only one click away from today's Ants version.

PS:
I just found a function in Firefox which can export and re-import bookmarks in Firefox. What about hosting such a bookmark File (Collection of P3P Download links as the above one) on Planetpeer as it is a .html file which then could be re-imported by anyone here?
