I read on Slyck this version has UPnP!   Grin  That's a really cool improvement.

UPnP was introduced in previous version. It uses excellent Limewire open-source UPnP code, if I'm not wrong.

Damn, I'm still having the same problems as the last time I tried it, same problems that were reported by some guy on Slyck, and neither of us could figure it out then either..It installs, I provide it with the WAN IP and forward my ports, hit start...and my response is
Generating ID...
Initializing ANTs...
Ant is not running..

With the message below that the firewall probing is idle. Also, I look on my router to see if it tried to use its new UPnP capability, and it doesn't appear to have tried anything of the sort. Seriously, I mean what gives? I have no doubt that Gwren is working on this app and that he's made all kinds of improvements, but it seems to me like every time I try it, there's a monkey wrench in the works somewhere that keeps me (and apparently others) from using it.

Basically you'd want a interface that is as simple and easy to customize as possible if you really don't plan on doing much interface development yourself.

Feature wise, you'd want to support good and easy to develop plugins.

So I'd assume that ants seems too static to you and even too hard to get working?

I don't recall it ever being too difficult to just use. Then again maybe these new versions are not stable and have serious bugs.

Singularity, are your running an IIS web server?

If so stop it,  then start ants,  and restart your web server.

Works for me.

Install Java 5.0 Update 5
Install latest ANts version (1.2.0 protocol 0.7.0) from here: http://www.myjavaserver.com/~gwren/Ants/antsp2p.jnlp
Trying using another port (ex.: 4567)
